The victim of Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman’s racist rant announced today that she plans to sue him. “

I want justice,” Monique told The National ENQUIRER. “He has slandered me, stated that I have bad character and repeatedly lied about me on national television. If I’m ever going to hold my head up in public again, I need to stand up for what is right.”

Slow down, I don’t think MORE money on top of the $15,000 set-up fee will get that head up any higher. He lost his job, ruined his career, and was publicly humiliated, I think that should feel like enough compensation for ya honey.

He didn’t go to the National ENQUIRER with your picture and your words on tape to single you out. How far is too far? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Duane “Dog” Chapman apologizes on Hannity & Colmes.

Unfortunately, he didn’t get it right in his interview, in fact, he may have dug a deeper hole, but we must consider the source.

Enough of the racial division over this word. This hillbilly has used the “n” word all of his life. Racial division in the prison system breeds hate, for which he spent 18 months (in a Texas prison). It’s time to make the word go away! Equally, for all of us! It’s not right for anyone of any race or color to use this word to describe another human. This is a hurtful word that has caused a lot of pain and ruined careers. It must be banned.

On the contrary, there have been cases where the same word, has been used intentionally, for the sake of comedy. A jewel in the center of a $50million career, Dave Chappelle renewed the use of the “n” word in 2002, on Comedy Central’s “Chapelle’s Show”, when he created hilarious skits centered around the very word. The skits became instant classics, causing the once forbidden word to become household slang across America and throughout our schools, which will no doubt be passed on to their children and so on.

We must stop the division!

Just as the “eff” word has become normalized, perhaps, we should allow this one too, to become used as acceptable slang. Many acceptable versions of the “eff” word have been put into circulation like; “friggin”, “freakin”, “effin”. I even noticed a tab on a pair of children’s clothing today, called “friggin skinny chinos”, then later dined at a respectable lunch spot and overheard a 65 year old man, ordering the “effin good sandwich”, which he shared with his wife. I’m personally outraged, but where do we go from here?

So… Can Duane Chapman be forgiven? I think he should be. No way is he going to make this mistake twice and if he does, then pull the plug! This was a recorded personal conversation between family members, not an intentional use on his show. Chapman states that he’s not using the word based on hate, but as a way to express himself. This man makes his living by physically chasing dangerous, hardened criminals, for our entertainment.

The level of his backwards thinking is evidenced in his appearance, speech, mannerisms, and colloquialisms, and is the very reason A&E sought him out to create a show (around him). Capitalizing on these very traits. Now he’s banned from A&E for being the epitome of his character, himself. A self proclaimed “dog”.

dog: a. a person regarded as unattractive or uninteresting. b. Something of inferior or low quality.

Can we really not rise above. Are we so offended of his personal use of language, made public via a “set-up” by his own son? Is anyone truly hurt by his actions, other than the man himself?

The Hawaii-based reality TV show “Dog the Bounty Hunter” is off-the-air “for the foreseeable future,” said the A&E cable network, two days after the release of a tape in which star Duane “Dog” Chapman was caught in a racist rant about his son’s black girlfriend.

“In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take ‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’ off the network’s schedule for the foreseeable future,” A&E said in statement. “We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun.”

The change means that the show’s re-runs will be pulled off the air indefinitely and that production continues to be suspended as the network investigates the incident, said an A&E network executive this morning. He said an online report today, picked up by the Star-Bulletin, saying that the show was canceled was incorrect.

The network had suspended the show Wednesday after the National Enquirer posted the tape online in which Chapman repeatedly uses the N-word as he tries to convince his son Tucker to break up with his girlfriend.

In the conversation, Chapman tells his son that he wants to use the N-word without worrying about his son’s black girlfriend and urges him to leave her or lose his job at one of the family’s businesses. He uses the N-word to describe the woman whom the Enquirer identified as Monique Shinnery.

Before today’s announcement, a major sponsor for the show said it was pulling its support. Yum! Brands, who advertises its Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC restaurants on the show, said it pulled its ads from the show effective immediately, according to the Wall Street Journal.

“It’s despicable,” a Yum! spokeswoman said about Chapman’s rant, according to the Journal. “We are no longer advertising on the show.”

Chapman has since apologized for his behavior. “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” shot mostly in Hawaii, was in its fifth season and was one of A&E’s most popular shows.

ONOLULU (AP) — Television bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman’s private phone conversation, in which he used the N-word repeatedly, was taped and sold to The National Enquirer by his son, Chapman’s lawyer said Thursday.

Attorney Brook Hart told The Associated Press that Chapman’s son, Tucker (pictured here in an undated police mugshot from a drug related charge), sent the recording to the tabloid for “a lot of money.”

“I guess because of whatever level of anger he had of his father, he felt the need to express it in that manner,” Hart said.

Tucker Chapman could not immediately be reached for comment. No one answered the telephone at a Honolulu number listed under his name.

Chapman, star of A&E;’s hit reality series “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” apologized Wednesday, shortly after the Enquirer posted on its Web site a 5-minute clip of the conversation in which he uses the N-word in reference to Tucker’s girlfriend.

Chapman used the slur six times in the first 45 seconds of the clip, which has damaged his reputation and jeopardized his career as a TV bounty hunter.

Dog The Bounty Hunter, Duane Chapman releases this statement in the wake of his racist bust caught on tape.

“My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation. It was completely taken out of context. I was disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character. However, I should have never used that term. I have the utmost respect and aloha for black people – who have already suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred. I did not mean to add yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people who have brought so many gifts to this world. I am ashamed of myself and I pledge to do whatever I can to repair this damage I have caused.

“In Hawaii, we have something called Ho’oponopono, where people come together to resolve crises and restore peace and balance. I am meeting with my spiritual advisor, Rev. Tim Storey, and hope to meet with other black leaders so they can see who I really am and teach me the right thing to do to make things right, again.

“I know that all of my fans are deeply disappointed in me, as well, as I have tried to be a model for doing the right thing. I did not do the right thing this time, and hope you will forgive me. We learn from our mistakes, as my story of overcoming a life of crime has proven, and I will learn from this one for the rest of my life.”

I rejected this show, specifically for the way this family looked, but have recently embraced it. They do mean well.

They do what the do to help clean up a dirty society and try to get through to each person they pick up . He looks like a dinosaur, so I’m not totally surprised that his mind is stuck in a horrid place, but maybe this experience will bring him into the present and keep him from spreading the hatred further to his youngsters!!
