Dr. Phil Spins His Side

Dr. Phil issued the following statement to Entertainment Tonight:

“As was widely reported this weekend, at the request of concerned family members, I visited Britney Spears in the hospital. The details of that visit will, of course, remain private. We had planned to tape a ‘Dr. Phil Now’ show tomorrow, focusing not on the tabloid side of Britney’s latest problems, but instead on the very serious issues surrounding this case. Clearly, it is not just Britney’s family struggling to find a way to protect adult children who cannot be ordered or compelled to seek help. Because the Spears situation is too intense at this time, and out of consideration to the family, I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping at this particular time. Britney and her family are in our prayers and we ask that they be in yours.”

Oh, we’re praying all right!

Brit’s Dad Says No To the TV Doctor

Father Spears steps in to indirectly tell Dr. Phil to back off.

Life & Style reports Britney Spears’ dad Jamie Spears has angrily banned the family from any involvement or participation with Dr. Phil’s planned Britney-intervention episode, a source linked to Dr. Phil’s camp tells Life & Style.

“As soon as Jamie realized Dr. Phil was making public statements about Britney, including assessments of her condition, he got angry. He started making phone calls to everybody in the family, telling them not to cooperate with Dr. Phil.

“Jamie was totally incensed that Dr. Phil—who he knows a little, because Lynne is friends with Dr. Phil’s wife—seemed to be using Britney for self-promotion.

“Dr. Phil had told Jamie everything would be off the record until the show was done.

“But after Jamie made his phone calls, Lynne and Bryan [their son] agreed not to appear on Dr. Phil’s show.”

The Spin Dr. Tells a Different Story

Dr. Phil’s visit with Britney Spears didn’t go as well as he reported to the press tells TMZ.

Rather than the reported lunchtime 1 hour visit, followed by an escort to the car. People on the 7th floor at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center say the Doctor arrived at about 7:30 AM Saturday, unaware and uninvited by Britney. Sources say it was Brit’s parents who told Dr. Phil to go to the hospital. When he walked into her room, we’re told, a blindsided Britney walked out and eventually came back.

Sources say Phil tried speaking with Spears for about 15 minutes – not an hour as Dr. Phil’s press release states – but she wanted none of it. We’re told Phil was doing almost all the talking. As for walking with her to the car on her way out – again as his release states – we’re told, if he was walking behind her, that’s news to her. She absolutely was not accompanied by him.

Sources say Dr. Phil somehow convinced Brit’s mom and dad to be on his show, which will tape Monday and air Tuesday (it was just moved up a day), but, as one person put it, “Based on the interaction between Dr. Phil and Britney this morning, it’ll be a cold day in hell before Britney goes on his show.” We’re told she absolutely will not appear on the program.

Sources say Dr. Phil wants to do a television intervention, something that isn’t sitting well with some of the people who have known for a while that Britney has a very serious mental condition – likely a bipolar disorder that is now in the red zone.

TMZ contacted Cedars to find out why the hospital let a television doctor on a floor that has such fragile patients, particularly since Britney had no idea he was coming. It’s especially troublesome that Cedars let Dr. Phil go uninvited to Britney’s room, since she had already been discharged and presumably had a right to know if someone wanted to visit. A Cedars rep made it short and sweet, telling us “No comment.”

A rep from the “Dr. Phil” show had no comment as well, other than “Dr. Phil met with Ms. Spears at family members’ invitation.”

Would be so great to see her on Dr. Phil on Tuesday. Truthfully, we hope that some doctor reaches her before it’s too late.

Dr. TV Gets a Piece of Britney

Before they turned crazy loose Dr. Phil got his hillbilly ass in there for a one hour meeting. “Now ya know Britney that yer startin ta look like ya really crazy. You can’t be goin off and holdin yer kids hostage.”

Here’s what Dr. Phil told Entertainment Tonight and The Insider about his meeting with cracked Britters:

“My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention. She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room,” Dr. Phil adds. “We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her.”

Deeply concerned for her, but did get her to agree to appear on his daytime show next week. Although that would be awesome, that’s not going to happen unless he’s secretly shooting from the Starbuck’s on Sunset.

Photog Love

Crazy was seen wearing a black wig and dark sunglasses while checking into a hotel with photog Adnan.

Usmagazine.com reports that Britney, 26, and photographer Adnan Ghalib, 35, checked into the Parker Hotel in Palm Springs around 2 a.m. on Jan. 2 – and then checked out around 7 a.m.

Last week Adnan joined her at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. She has developed an intimate relationship with the photographer who told Us in September, “I’ll get her sooner or later”.

He’s got her! Lucky dude … and not another soul on the planet wants her.

Pamela Files for Divorce

Pamela Anderson had filed for divorce from hubby number 3, Rick Salomon, citing irreconcilable differences.

We were all just waiting for that weren’t we?

On Dec. 14, Anderson filed a claim for dissolution of marriage in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.

Anderson and Salomon recently shot down rumors they would star in their own TV reality show. On Thursday she posted on her blog:

“I WAS considering…Only to promote and have people see what it’s like to create a show and be on stage starring in a big Vegas production. (probably not happening anymore) not my family life. (Never my kids) I have to make a lot of big decisions. The choices I have to make now are about quality of life. And meaning. Not about money or fame for no good reason. I know I’ve made a lot of mistakes. But no regrets — Just living such a huge dream….I’m blessed. So many options. I can’t complain. I can be confused.”

Pamela Anderson’s rep, Cindy Guagenti, had no comment on the split.

As for future plans, Anderson says she’ll perform here and there but will mostly concentrate on staying home with her kids: “I’ll do a few stage appearances soon/Europe- Wild surprises/legendary stages-to fulfill the exhibitionist in me-that deal is done- but committing to years in Vegas-8-10 shows a week is not going to work for my family- I’ve never made decisions based on money- and I’d hate to start now- I’m going to work on my dream now- and stay Home–!!!”

Brit is Getting Desperate

Britney appeared to be wandering aimlessly around West Hollywood near what is seeming to be one of her favorite places the Hustler store. She was being swarmed by the paps and settled up on a little parking spot behind the Hustler store where she told paps, “I’m scared, oh my G*d stop, will you just like calm down a little bit, I can’t think”, while wearing her cheap ass pink wig. Under the wig she’s died her hair black again.

She had gone to Starbucks on Sunset, but again was flooded by the paps. Where’s Satan when you need him? Sam Satan Lutfi seems to M.I.A. ever since the story broke of his shady past. He was last seen on Brit’s birthday. Brit did pick up a new temporary friend or assistant, while she desperately texts someone in the car, “i text her, she wont respond. why?” Let’s see, her only other friend is cousin Alli Simms. Could it be Alli is taking a break from Brit as well?

Looks like the only thing the girl can do without her Satan in tow is tanning salon and Starbucks. Brit returned to her home away from her homes at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills.

I feel a breakdown coming on!

Lindsay Banned from Shutters

Lindsay Lohan has been shut out from Shutters on the Beach Hotel in Santa Monica. The Star reports in its newest issue that Lindsay Lohan is now banned from the after she spent three days there holed up with her now ex-boyfriend Riley Giles.

The rehabbed couple reportedly completely depleted the mini-bar, left dirty towels about, cigarette butts and a shocking syringe in the suite.

The mag also says:

“Staffers went into clean and were shocked,” says the source. “It was a pigpen. There was filth everywhere and the room stank of cigarette smoke.

“There was also a bloody syringe that someone left lying on the bedside table on a room service tray. Hotel security photographed it before calling someone to remove it because it was considered hazardous waste.”

The hotel room was in such disarray that the hotel had to call in a professional cleaning crew to clean up the mess that Lohan made that got her blacklisted from the posh hotel.

She’s a pig. She has become such an ugly person with her semi-permanent yarn hair and that godforsaken crocheted headband she’s been sporting. Ick!

Poor Amy Half Naked in the Cold Dark Air

It’s nearly freezing in North London where Amy Winehouse was photographed around 5 am, without a shirt or shoes, crying and wandering aimlessly outside her home. Amy was partying with friends earlier in the evening. Her publicist says that Amy heard a noise and went outside to check it out, not realizing the time.

Yes, that’s the scary thing, noises in her head that lead her to taking the streets in a bra and jeans…

She has been meeting with a physician daily in effort to clean up, but where is that getting her if she’s on the streets without a clue. Onlookers say:

“She came out of the house, walked down the drive and wandered around on the pavement for a bit. She looked upset and agitated but there was no obvious reason for her to have come outside. It was weird.”

She needs help!!!
